All recipesOne Pot WonderOne Pan Cheesy Taco Orzo20 min 4 portionsSave recipeJoin to planI cooked thisPrint cardYearly members: printable PDFIngredientsCooking for4250g lean beef mince1 beef stock pot1 medium onion1 tsp garlic1/2 red pepper1/2 yellow pepper250g orzo pasta1 pack taco seasoning1 tbsp tomato puréeA dash of Worcestershire sauce1 tin chopped tomatoes1/2 tin sweetcornA handful of sliced jalapeñosA splash of jalapeño juice100ml milk4 cheese slicesSoured cream and chive dip (optional)Method1Fry the beef mince in a pan until browned.2Add the stock pot and stir through the mince.3Add the onion and cook until softened.4Stir in the garlic and peppers, cooking for a few minutes.5Mix in the tomato purée, Worcestershire sauce and taco seasoning.6Pour in the chopped tomatoes, then fill the empty tin with water and add that too.7Add the sweetcorn, jalapeños and a splash of the jalapeño juice. Stir well.8Add the orzo and simmer gently for 10–15 minutes, stirring regularly so it doesn’t stick, until the pasta is cooked and the sauce has thickened.9Pour over the milk and lay the cheese slices on top.
