Chilli con carne

Method

   Start by frying the mince along with the beef stock pot until browned (no oil needed).

   Add the veg and fry together for 2 minutes.

   Add the garlic and the spices, stir together.

   Add the balsamic, stir, then add the tomatoes. Season with 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper and 1/4 tsp salt.

   Quarter-fill the 2 empty tomato tins with water, swirl around, add that to the pan, then add the sugar.

   Stir together, add in the tomato purée, cover loosely with foil, and let it simmer on low for at least one hour, stirring occasionally.

   After 1 hour, add the drained tin of kidney beans and cook together for another 10 minutes, serve with rice or whatever side you fancy and enjoy!
