All recipesDate Night ClubSteak Fajita Pasta25 min 2 portionsSave recipeJoin to planI cooked thisPrint cardIngredientsCooking for2170g steak (fillet, sirloin, or rump)1 small onion, sliced½ red pepper, sliced½ yellow pepper, sliced150g dried pasta1 packet fajita seasoning2 tbsp tomato purée200ml beef stock75g cream cheese1 tsp garlic purée1 tsp olive oilPinch of dried chilliflakes (optional)2 tbsp grated parmesanMethod1Heat a little oil in a frying pan. Season the steak with salt, pepper, and a little fajita seasoning. Fry for 3 minutes per side until medium (or however you like it!) then set aside to rest and slice thinly.2In the same pan, fry the onion and peppers for 5–6 minutes until softened. Stir in the garlic purée, chilli flakes, the rest of the fajita seasoning, and tomato purée. Cook for a minute.3Pour in the beef stock and simmer for about 5 minutes before stirring through the cream cheese until smooth and creamy.4Meanwhile, cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain, keeping back a splash of pasta water.5Toss the pasta through the sauce, loosening with the pasta water if needed. Stir through the sliced steak or serve it piled on top.6Finish with extra black pepper or a sprinkle of fresh herbs if you like.
