Creamy meatball Pasta

Method

   Fry the onion, pepper and chilli together in an oven safe pan with the garlic puree and chilli flakes (if using)

   Add the Italian herbs

   Once softened pour in the passata and stir

   Fry off the meatballs in a separate frying pan. Once the meatballs have browned (but not cooked through) take them off the heat

   Meanwhile season the sauce with salt and pepper and half tsp of sugar. Add 150ml of water and simmer for about 5 minutes

   Add the meatballs to the sauce and stir through. Put a lid on the pot and cook in the oven at 150°C for around an hour, or on low heat on the hob for about 30 minutes

   Cook the pasta to the packet instructions once sauce/meatballs are fully cooked then set aside

   Stir the cream cheese through the sauce, add the pasta to the pot and mix well - then serve
