All recipesComfort ClubSausage, caramelised onion gravy & mash60 min 4 portionsSave recipeJoin to planI cooked thisPrint cardIngredientsCooking for410 pork sausages800g Maris Piper potatoes, peeled and diced1 tsp olive oil1 red onion, sliced1 tsp brown sugar2 tbsp gravy granules150g frozen peas1 tbsp butter100ml semi-skimmed milkMethod1Fry the sausages in the olive oil on a medium heat, turning occasionally, for around 15 minutes or until cooked through, then set aside2Turn the heat to low and add the onions and cook for around 30 minutes stirring occasionally3Meanwhile, boil the potatoes for around 15 minutes or until soft and tender4Add the brown sugar to the onions, stir and cook for a further 5 minutes5Add 300ml boiling water along with the gravy granules, give it a good stir and add the sausages back in to heat back through, leave for 5 minutes or until the gravy has thickened6Drain the potatoes, mash them, then add the butter, milk and a pinch of salt and pepper and mix together7Cook the frozen peas according to the packet instructions8Serve the sausages together with the mash and peas and pour the gravy and onions from the pan over the top and enjoy!#PorkComments Sign in to leave a comment.Be the first to leave a note.
