Slow cooker orzo ragu

Method

   Brown the beef off first, then add to the slow cooker (mine has a browning off function so I did it in the slow cooker)

   Add the onion, red pepper, mushrooms and carrot

   Now add the garlic puree, pinch of salt and pepper, the oregano, chilli flakes, tomato puree and tin of chopped tomatoes. Fill the empty tin with water and add that too, add the beef stock and stir everything well

   Cook the ragu on high for 4 hours like I did or low for 8 hours

   Now add the orzo, frozen peas and cream, give it a good stir, cook on high until the orzo is cooked, you may need to add a splash of extra water to help it along (can add a splash towards the end)

   Once orzo has cooked, mine took about 45 mins on high, add the tomatoes Parmesan and stir through, leave for a few more minutes then serve and enjoy!
