All recipesAir Fryer ClubSweet & Sour Chicken Loaded Salt & Pepper Chips40 min 4 portionsSave recipeJoin to planI cooked thisPrint cardYearly members: printable PDFIngredientsCooking for4400g chicken breast, cut into chunks1 egg, beaten3 tbsp cornflour1 onion, chopped1 pepper, chopped500g steakcut chipsSpray oil3 tbsp ketchup3 tsp light brown sugar1½ tbsp soy sauce2 tbsp rice vinegar1 tsp cornflour (mixed with a splash of water)Juice from a small tin of pineapple chunks200g pineapple chunks1 tsp brown sugarPinch of saltPinch of black pepperPinch of Chinese five spicePinch of chilli flakesMethod1Coat chicken chunks in egg, then cornflour, add to air fryer, spray with plenty of oil.2Air fry at 180°C for 15 mins, flipping halfway.3Add chopped peppers and onions near the end to soften and char, once cooked, remove so you can cook the chips.4In a pan, combine ketchup, sugar, soy, vinegar, cornflour slurry (1 two cornflour mixed with a splash of warm water) and pineapple juice.5Simmer until glossy and thick. Stir in pineapple chunks.6Meanwhile air fry chips until nearly cooked.7To make the curry, mix the curry paste with 300ml water, microwave in one minute bursts and stir in-between until thickened or do this on the hob!)8Toss with the onions, peppers, and salt & pepper mix.
