All recipesFamily ClubBest ever roast potatoes90 min 6 portionsView nutrition on NutracheckSave recipeJoin to planI cooked thisPrint cardIngredientsCooking for61.5kg maris piper potatoes90g goose fat or extra virgin olive oil or half butter, half oil1 tbsp plain flourFew sprigs of rosemary and thymeMethod1Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan)2Peel the potatoes and cut in half or into 4, depending on how big the potatoes are, keep the really small ones whole3Add the potatoes to a large pan of cold water and add a pinch of salt4Bring to the boil, once bubbling cook the potatoes for 10 minutes5Place a tray with the goose fat or oil into the hot oven and heat it up for 15 minutes until sizzling hot6Drain the potatoes and rough up a little in the colander which will help the potatoes become crispy!7Lay onto a tray to dry for a couple of minutes, sprinkle with the flour and make sure they are evenly coated8Now add the potatoes to the tray with the goose fat, they should sizzle as they go in!9Roast in the oven for 1 hour (or until they look perfect) turn this every 15 minutes, you can add a tiny bit more goose fat or drizzle of oil halfway through. 5 minutes before the end, add the rosemary and thyme (this is optional) and serve when they are as crispy as you'd like them!#5 ingredients or fewer#VeggieComments Sign in to leave a comment.Be the first to leave a note.
