Add balsamic vinegar and sugar once softened and browned.2Peel and chop potatoes, boil in salted water until soft. Drain, then mix with milk and butter to make mash.3For the filling, fry beef mince until browned, then add white onion, carrot, and garlic.4Once vegetables have softened, add black pepper, mixed herbs, Worcestershire sauce, tomato puree, brown sauce, and beef stock pot. (Optional: add splash of red wine.)5Add bay leaf and about 75ml boiling water.
