All recipesDate Night ClubMarry me chicken orzo20 min 2 portionsSave recipeJoin to planI cooked thisPrint cardIngredientsCooking for2200g chicken breast, butterflied and cut into large pieces150g orzo, dried1 small onion, diced100g mushrooms, sliced80ml Prosecco or white wine (optional)1 tsp garlic purée20g panko breadcrumbs5g plain flourSprinkle of Italian seasoning1 egg, whisked30ml double cream or single creamPinch of chilli flakes1/2 chicken stockpot or cube mixed with 250ml boiling water15g grated ParmesanMethod1Season the chicken pieces with a pinch of salt and pepper and the Italian seasoning2Coat in the flour, dip in the egg and then cover evenly with the panko breadcrumbs3Spray the air fryer with oil then place the chicken inside, spray the chicken with oil and cook on 180°C for 20 minutes, turning halfway, or until golden and crispy4Meanwhile, fry the onion in a pan until it turns translucent then add the garlic purée and the mushrooms and give it a stir5Add the chilli flakes, a pinch of black pepper and the Prosecco/white wine (if using) and let it reduce6Next, add the stock and let it simmer7Add the orzo, drain and set aside8Add the cream and the Parmesan to the pan, give it a good mix then set a spoonful of sauce aside for drizzling at the end, then add the orzo and mix9Serve the orzo into 2 bowls, top with the cooked chicken, drizzle the leftover sauce over the top and enjoy!#Chicken#Under 30 minsComments Sign in to leave a comment.Be the first to leave a note.
